Note for navigation system users:
The silver-coloured RWI 4 Tower of Völklinger Str.
4 is directly adjacent to the Stadttor which can also
be entered as an alternative destination. Regardless of which direction
you come from, you should be guided through the Rheinufertunnel
which consists of two tunnels, one immediately after the other. If you
are arriving from the North (city centre, Essen), you should turn left
after the first tunnel. If you are arriving from the South (Wuppertal,
Cologne, Mönchengladbach), you should turn right
after the first tunnel to the RWI 4 Tower. You will find a parking site in front of the building.
From
the North take the A1 Autobahn from Hamburg-Bremen or the
A2 from Hanover.
From
the East take the A44 from Kassel.
From
the South, the A3 from Frankfurt.
From
the West there are a number of options: the A44 and A46 via
Aachen from Belgium, Luxembourg or southern Netherlands; from the northern
Netherlands use the A3, A44, A52 or A61.
By public transport
The train represents one of the most environment-friendly, low-cost and relaxing methods of getting to Düsseldorf. Over 1,000 trains stop in Düsseldorf every day - so you are sure to find a good connection.

The Rheinbahn organisation runs trams, buses, S and U-Bahn trains in Düsseldorf, operating a network covering 1,400 kilometres. With its links to the VRR transport services, Düsseldorf is fully integrated in all regional transport networks. There are uniform prices, including for the standard train services of Deutsche Bahn (excluding ICE etc.). Further information can be found on the VRR's online timetable service.
Tram stop
Stadttor (line 704 [terminus: Südfriedhof] or 709 [terminus: Theodor-Heuss-Platz]
from Düsseldorf Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). The RWI building is roughly
200m straight ahead on the right.

Served by its own railway station, Düsseldorf
International Airport represents a convenient alternative to a long
car journey. Over 350 trains, from S-Bahn to ICE, stop each day at Düsseldorf
Airport Station which is located at the eastern end of the airport.
The journey by car or taxi from Düsseldorf International Airport
(DUS) to Völklinger Strasse takes roughly 20-30 mins.
The journey by S-Bahn (line S7 from Airport Station to Düsseldorf
Hauptbahnhof and then the S8, S11 or S28 to Völklinger Strasse station)
takes roughly 20-30 mins.
By taxi
