We expect a lot, but we are offering a good package in return.
We offer a performance-based salary with variable components, anniversary bonuses, capital-forming benefits and the possibility of making deferred income contributions as retirement provisions or of obtaining restaurant vouchers. The remuneration will be reassessed once per year in the annual performance review meeting between the employee and a manager.
Flexible working hours
As part of our flexitime arrangement, our short core time (Mon - Thurs 09:30 - 15:00 and Fri 09:30 - 14:00) help you to adapt your working day to your own personal preferences. Where possible and practicable, we also offer part-time working. Our managers are also given the possibility to work from home four days per month.
Besides the annual holiday allowance, there are also special leave arrangements, and overtime can be taken off in lieu.
If it is necessary for you to work for us on Sundays or national holidays because of a scheduled trade fair, this will be compensated by 1.5 supplementary days of leave.
Employees who have been with the company for 5 years may receive financial support for a sabbatical lasting up to three months.
Occupational and health safety
All of our work places have been smoke-free since January 2010 under the extended non-smoker protection requirements. Our smokers may use the terrace and a smoker's lounge provided on the ground floor of the rwi4 building.
We also offer health days, driving safety courses and regular check-ups such as the G 37 for VDU work stations to all employees.
We are always interested if employees show initiative in this area and offer financial support for prevention courses supported by the health insurance organisations.
Sports and social activities
Our Reed sports team takes part in various runs and the charity Cycling Tour of Hope.
We and our group support local and global social projects in the form of the Reed Elsevier Cares programme.
